PRESS RELEASE FROM ALISTAIR STRATHERN MP

MONDAY 8th DECEMBER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Alistair Strathern MP is delighted to announce the winner of his 2025 Children’s Christmas Card Competition.

This year’s top spot goes to Maximilian, age 9, from William Ransom School, whose stunning illustration of St Mary’s Church in Hitchin captured the festive spirit perfectly.

Strathern will be using his design for all his cards, for constituents to businesses and MPs. He has invited Maximilian down to Westminster to take part in the Speaker’s MP Christmas Card Reception.

Alistair Strathern MP said:

“Maximilian’s design is a wonderful celebration of Hitchin’s heritage and creativity.

“It’s fantastic to see such talent from our local schools, and I’m proud to feature his artwork on my official Christmas card this year.”
