Local MP welcomes new pub ‘Farndons at the Swan’ to Shefford

Alistair Strathern, MP for Hitchin and Shefford resident, joined bar staff to raise a pint to celebrate the opening of Farndons at The Swan, a newly refurbished riverside pub and beer garden in the town.

Opening just in time for summer, Farndons at the Swan have brought back to life the riverside venue in Shefford which had been vacant for a number of months following the closure of its previous occupant. Situated by the river, the pub boasts a spacious beer garden shaded by a beautiful willow tree.

Strathern is a long-standing supporter of the value of local pubs serving their communities. The Swan serves real ale through two classic hand pumps, alongside a curated cocktail menu and a quality selection of wines.
