The parliamentary map has changed drastically here in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire at this election.

Our new Hitchin constituency has lost Harpenden, and includes some towns and villages in Bedfordshire like Shefford, Arlesey and Stotfold.

All of the polls say it's Labour.

Labour are winning here.

In October, Alistair Strathern made history, beating all the odds to become Labour's first MP for the old Mid Bedfordshire constituency.

In the local elections in May, Labour became the largest party on North Herts Council, winning the highest vote share in Hitchin with 33% of the vote.

And in Bedfordshire, Labour's John Tizard became the first Labour Police and Crime Commissioner to be elected in Bedfordshire in eight years.
