Alistair Strathern MP asks Hitchin to dig deep for Tilehouse Counselling Services

Alistair Strathern, the MP for the Hitchin constituency, is asking constituents to dig deep this December and support Tilehouse Counselling Services’ fundraising drive.

Tilehouse is running a ‘BigGive’ week from December 2nd - December 9th, where donations will be matched by the Hitchin Youth Trust and the Reed Foundation. They are aiming to raise £8,500.

Based on Tilehouse Street in Hitchin, it is a counselling service that provides free long-term counselling to under 18s and heavily subsidised counselling to adults on low incomes. 

For over 30 years it has been is a fantastic asset for Hitchin, supporting children and  dults across the local area with their mental health and wellbeing.

Alistair Strathern MP said:

"Many of us will need someone to talk to in difficult times, and for over 30 years Tilehouse counselling have been there for people across our towns and villages. 

Counselling is a lifeline for so many in our community, particularly young people who need support during challenging times.

“But they need our support to be able to assist as many people as possible, so I’m proud to back their BigGive campaign.

“Every donation will be doubled this week, so please give what you can to help Tilehouse continue their vital work."
